Tang Dynasty Large Green Horse (YFLF)
The Tang Dynasty Large Green Horse is an emerald green terracotta horse sculpture with athletic lines. Historically, a sculpture like this would be found in tombs, as it was specially designed to be buried with the deceased to accompany them to “the other side.” The greater the number of horses found, the wealthier the person. The ceramic sculpture is positioned on a clay-colored base, as a museum piece would be.
